Street Shield is a community-driven initiative based in Kikoni, a peri-urban area in Kampala District, Uganda. Born out of concern over the increasing crime rates affecting residents and local businesses, Street Shield empowers the people of Kikoni to take an active role in protecting their streets, restoring trust, and building a safer, more united community.
We believe that everyone deserves to live and work in a safe environment — and that real safety begins with awareness, cooperation, and action from within the community itself.
